Background
Ajantha’s professional expertise has evolved over the years to come to rest with her passion for service to clients suffering personal injuries.
She has prior (international) experience in commercial & banking litigation, personal injury specifically motor vehicle claims and family law. In Australia, her experience has broadened to include working with Silver Chain as a contract officer and then as a lecturer in Business Law at Murdoch University at both their Perth and Singapore campuses as well as coordinating for their Dubai campus. At university, she has taught various diverse units including Finance Law, Employment Relations, Hospitality & Tourism Law as well as Principles of Business Governance (Masters’ level). She finds that teaching and the practice of law both require technical excellence, and a deep level of commitment to human relations . Ajantha finds that her certifications in coaching and personal practice of neuroscience assist her in delivering client-centric outcomes. Academia and Law ,in particular, have an underlying theme of service and flows with Ajantha’s passion for volunteer work, when time permits, with The Arts Sanctuary (& The Ghoshala) which encompasses diverse activities including assisting (but not performing!) in the arts & performances in music, dance, and, rather surprisingly, a heifer shelter. Ajantha feels that this volunteering component complements to provide her best as a lawyer committed to client outcomes and satisfaction. She has assisted many clients in successfully resolving their claims with her empathetic and clear legal advice. She enjoys her work in Workers’ Compensation claims, and other personal injury law at WA Legal which, she states, is a collegial, inclusive & ethical place to work.
