Matt is a senior lawyer at WA Legal who has worked with us since 2018. He practices in all areas of personal injury with a focus on workers’ compensation (including psychiatric injury), motor vehicle accident claims and public/property liability.

He is passionate about obtaining the best possible result for injured workers/plaintiff’s and is not afraid to take the fight to the insurance companies or the employer, having represented many injured client’s against the big mining companies, and the Australian government. Since working with WA Legal, he has assisted many client’s to a successful and life-changing resolution. He has acted in public liability and workers compensation claims involving faulty Dozer’s, faulty elevators, airplane crashes, all the way to slip and falls and repetitive strain injuries. He provides strategic advice on the risks and rewards of your claim with a concentration on the practical elements, including how your life interacts with the claim. He takes the time to make sure you understand your claim and the advice and is always happy to have a chat.

Prior to working as a solicitor, Matt was travelling the world (something he enjoys doing when he can) and has worked in a variety of different careers, including construction work, hospitality work and services industry. He finds this life experience and knowledge assists him in empathising with his client’s and understanding where they are coming from when describing their circumstances. Additionally, he is an avid outdoors person, engaging in various actives on weekends, including playing hockey. So he is no stranger to injuries, and their effects (nothing too serious… yet).

He also brings in his dog, Pixel, when he can, who has been adopted by WA Legal as the emotional support paralegal.
